Brother Monk Ciderworks is owned and operated by brothers, Dan and Joe Holoubek, in Indiana County, PA. They are both Navy veterans and their family has a long history of military service with their grandfather serving in WWI and father serving in WWII and the Korean War. The founders take pride in that history and commitment to service, they apply that pride to their cidermaking and winemaking. Brother Monk is a farm-based Pennsylvania licensed winery and is growing over 2000 cider-specific apple trees on the farm and all the rest of the fruit are sourced from Pennsylvania. All the fruits are ripened to perfection, fresh-pressed, fermented slowly, and crafted into fine cider blends, resulting in unique ciders full of refreshing, complex tastes for your enjoyment.

Pennsylvania Libations proudly supports and sells the largest portfolio of craft libations in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We support and sell only Pennsylvania made spirits, wines, ciders, meads, and beers. What began as a humble broker company with one distillery client, quickly grew to a full-blown sales and representation company with a premium downtown Pittsburgh Strip District retail location. Our third location – and first in Philadelphia – is now open inside Reading Terminal selling Pennsylvania-made wine, spirits, and cider. Owner Christian Simmons has tapped Philadelphia native Arthur Etchells, founder of Philadelphia magazine’s Foobooz, as general manager of the new store.
