Welcome to the Porrón Party! This Philly Cider Week collaboration with Santé and Home Brewed Events aims to highlight Basque-inspired Ciders and explore the history of one of the most unique drinking vessels, the Porrón. Our host, Luna Cafe, will be curating a Spanish-inspired charcuterie, cheese, and olive board that will complement the 4 cider samples selected from local producers such as Ploughman Cider, AXNO, and more.
Each ticket includes:
Seat at the class (limited space per class)
Four locally sourced ciders
Detailed instruction by a Sommelier on the history and how to use the Porrón
Basque Cider history and guided cider tasting with a Certified Cicerone
Cheese & Charcuterie Board complete with olives and sides
Supporting three local Philadelphia businesses

Meet Santé:
Daniel Solway is a Philadelphia-based sommelier, wine specialist, and founder of Santé. Santé specializes in bespoke beverage tastings, dinners, collaborative events, and education. Daniel has worked on vineyards in Champagne, Austria, and Germany. He has worked at many reputable restaurants and wine shops including Lords, Oxalis, June, Henry’s, and DiBrunos. The porrón plays an important role in the business, having appeared at almost every single Santé dinner. Daniel is very excited to explore the world of Basque cider culture with you!
